It was actually quite successful! I tested on 3 different fabrics and got quite similar colours across all 3 which was interesting, although the silk blend did come out slightly darker than the cotton and the linen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.bindandfold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/20130414-DSC_0070.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-242\" alt=\"20130414-DSC_0070\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.bindandfold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/20130414-DSC_0070.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"722\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.bindandfold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/20130414-DSC_0070.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blog.bindandfold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/20130414-DSC_0070-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I wont detail all the timing here, but the first 2 dips were both 10 mins each and then after that I moved into shorter dips. I did stumble across a really wonderful natural dye blog called <a href=\"http:\/\/tinctory.blogspot.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">tinctory<\/a>. So many beautiful images, so much beautiful dye work, and the\u00a0jewellery\u00a0created from it, just stunning. I&#8217;ve been so inspired that I&#8217;ve ordered some natural dye books, and am trying to hunt down some Japanese Indigo seeds and a few other dye plant seeds to plant my own dye garden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In the meantime I intend to try some dyeing with scavenged natural dyes, like grass, eucalyptus, and berries.
